Medicaid Work Requirements: Implications for Low Income Women’s Coverage

Data Note
  1. The Current Population Survey asks respondents to identify by their sex. For purposes of this brief, we refer to males as men, and females as women. Data and research often assume cisgender identities and may not systematically account for people who are transgender, including but not limited to transgender men, transgender women, and non-binary adults. The language used in this brief attempts to be as inclusive as possible while acknowledging that the data we are citing uses sex labels that we cannot change without misrepresenting the data.
