Ivette Gomez is a policy analyst for the Women’s Health Policy team at KFF, where she conducts research on the impact of major health policies on women. Her work focuses on health coverage and access to services for women, abortion and contraceptive access, Medicaid coverage of sexual and reproductive health services as well as postpartum extensions, and Title X. She works on several survey projects, and created and maintains multiple KFF trackers, including the KFF Medicaid Postpartum Coverage Extension Tracker, State Profiles for Women’s Health, and the Preventive Services Tracker.
Prior to joining KFF, Gomez was a research analyst at Advancing New Standards for Reproductive Health based at the University of California, San Francisco, and worked on the Turnaway Study. She holds a bachelor’s degree in anthropological sciences from Stanford University and a Master of Public Health degree in epidemiology and biostatistics from the University of California, Berkeley.
