Noting Bill Gates, co-chair of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, released his annual letter and report on Wednesday, Eric Porterfield, director of global health communications at the United Nations Foundation, writes in the United Nations Foundation Blog, “The report is an important reminder that the role of measurement and evaluation is a critical component in addressing global challenges effectively.” He notes, “As 2015 nears, we are faced with choosing new goals to help create a better, safer and healthier world,” adding, “Through lessons learned and improved measurement tools, we can deliver stronger results” (1/30).
