KFF Health Tracking Poll – February 2019: Prescription Drugs

Findings
  1. In 2018 President Trump announced his prescription drug plan titled “American Patients First,” which included the proposal to require drug manufacturers to publish list prices for their prescription drugs in television advertisements. KFF Health Tracking Polls consistently find a majority of the public – including a majority of Democrats, independents, and Republicans, have supported this policy proposal.

  2. The Trump Administration’s FY2019 budget proposal included this proposal and it was referenced in the Administration’s May 2018 blueprint on drug costs.
