KFF COVID-19 Vaccine Monitor: July 2021

Findings
  1. In order to examine whether vaccine intentions and worries around the Delta variant with the changing news environment, the two samples (interviews conducted July 15-18, interviews conducted July 19-27) were weighted separately to population parameters. We found only a slight uptick in the share of people and Republicans who say they either have already gotten a COVID-19 vaccine or plan to do so “as soon as possible” in interviews conducted beginning on July 19th. The share of total adults and Republicans who said they were “definitely not” going to get a COVID-19 vaccine remained relatively unchanged in the last week (13% and 17%, respectively). The rest of the analysis included in this report uses a single weight for the entire field period.
