UNAIDS Reports On Russian G20 Sherpa Visit

“In her first visit to Geneva as Russian G20 Sherpa, Ksenia Yudaeva” — chief of the Presidential Experts Directorate — “visited UNAIDS Headquarters for a broad-ranging discussion on global issues that are priorities for the Russian Presidency of the G20, including civil society participation, youth empowerment and development for all,” UNAIDS reports in an article on its webpage. The discussion “highlighted the new Regional Cooperation Programme for Technical Assistance for HIV/AIDS and other infectious diseases in Eastern Europe and Central Asia (2013-2015), which is funded by the Government of the Russian Federation and implemented by UNAIDS in Armenia, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, in partnership with the Russian non-governmental organization AIDS Infoshare,” the article notes, adding, “The core objective of the Russian Presidency is to concentrate the efforts of the G20 — the forum of the world’s largest economies — on developing a three-dimensional growth agenda aimed at boosting sustainable, inclusive and balanced growth and job creation around the world” (3/28).
