The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria has published Issue 29 of its newsletter, the “Global Fund News Flash.” The issue examines the fund’s new framework for procurement related to medicines and other products for HIV, tuberculosis and malaria prevention, care and treatment, released Tuesday; provides a timeline for the implementation of the fund’s new funding model, which “is now gearing up to begin its full implementation in March 2014”; and highlights a recently signed grant to combat HIV/AIDS in the Union of Comoros (11/7).
