Blogs Report On Global Maternal Health Conference

Crystal Lander, director of policy and advocacy at Management Sciences for Health (MSH), writes in the MSH “Global Health Impact” blog about the Second Global Maternal Health Conference taking place in Arusha, Tanzania, and she describes a speech by Agnes Binagwaho, Rwanda’s minister of health. She says of the conference, “[S]o far, the emphasis on multiple voices and knowledge sharing has gotten it off to an excellent start” (1/16). Writing in the PLoS “Speaking of Medicine” blog, PLoS Medicine senior editor Jocalyn Clark highlights the launch of the Year 1 Open Access Collection on Maternal Health, developed by PLoS and the Maternal Health Task Force (MHTF), an organization that “coordinat[es] efforts to improve the evidence, programs, and advocacy of maternal health.” She describes the collection and its launch at the conference (1/16).
