Article Examines Efforts By Water.org To Ensure Universal Access To Water, Sanitation For Women

“Since 1990, Water.org has been working in partnership with women around the world, empowering them to take control of their own water and sanitation solutions,” Water.org’s Nicole Wickenhauser writes in a news update on the Women Deliver webpage. “At Water.org, our vision is universal access to safe water and sanitation — in our lifetime,” she continues, detailing some of the organization’s initiatives. “Water.org has empowered more than one million people around the world with safe water and sanitation. In the process, this has provided the most essential and basic foundation for women’s empowerment,” she concludes (4/1).
