USAID’s FWD Campaign Launches With PSAs On Crisis In Horn Of Africa

“One month after [USAID] announced the FWD (famine, war, and drought) public awareness campaign at the Social Good summit, they officially launched the campaign across the country though celebrity public service announcements (PSAs) developed with the Ad Council,” according to a post in the Department of State’s “DipNote” blog. The ads feature “Jill Biden, Uma Thurman, Josh Hartnett, Geena Davis, and Chanel Iman speak[ing] about the crisis in the Horn of Africa and encourag[ing] people to forward the facts,” the blog notes (10/26). The first 30-second PSA is available on USAID’s “IMPACTblog” (10/26).
