Blog Posts Address World AIDS Day

The blog has published several posts in recognition of Worlds AIDS Day, observed annually on December 1. In the first post, Deborah Birx, director of the CDC’s Division of Global HIV/AIDS at the Center for Global Health, reflects on the theme for this World AIDS Day — Shared Responsibility: Strengthening Results for an AIDS-Free Generation (12/2). In a second post, HHS Assistant Secretary for Global Affairs Nils Daulaire examines the need for country ownership under PEPFAR (11/26). In a third post, Daulaire “celebrates the improved well-being of millions of people around the world living healthy and full HIV-positive lives,” and examines the need for health systems “to be prepared to address the long-term care needs of those living — sometimes for decades — with HIV” (12/2).

The KFF Daily Global Health Policy Report summarized news and information on global health policy from hundreds of sources, from May 2009 through December 2020. All summaries are archived and available via search.
