This chartpack presents new information on the sources of supplemental and prescription drug coverage among Medicare beneficiaries in 2006, the most recent year for which national data are available. It provides the first detailed look at the characteristics of beneficiaries, including the under-65 disabled population, with various sources of drug coverage in the first year of the Medicare Part D drug benefit. It is based on analysis of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services’ Medicare Current Beneficiary Survey 2006 Access to Care file.
