Despite Budget Concerns, Most Say Congress Should Extend Expiring Enhanced ACA Tax Credits

This poll finds that more than three-quarters of the public say they want Congress to extend the enhanced tax credits available to people with low and moderate incomes to make the health coverage purchased through the Affordable Care Act’s Marketplace more affordable. This includes more than half of Republicans and "Make America Great Again" supporters. Most Marketplace enrollees are unaware that what they pay in premiums could more than double in 2026 if the credits expire.  Read the News Release →

As the Trump administration announces a new partnership with private companies and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services to expand access to digital health tools like apps, this KFF Health Tracking poll finds that most adults have used these tools to manage their care. However, even amid widespread use of health care-related apps, majorities of adults are concerned about the privacy of their information, regardless of whether an app is managed by the government, a private technology company, or a health insurance company.
