This report presents findings from the 2022 KFF Women’s Health Survey (WHS) on women’s health status, use of health care services, and costs. The WHS is a nationally representative survey of 5,145 self-identified women ages 18 to 64, conducted May 10 - June 7, 2022.

This analysis examines the cost of COVID-19 treatment for inpatient care among people with health coverage through large employers. It finds that in 2020, COVID-19 hospitalizations cost an average of $41,611, including an average out-of-pocket payment of $1,280 for people with large employer coverage.

For 2023, the average Medicare beneficiary has access to 43 Medicare Advantage plans and can choose from plans offered by nine firms.
