The survey was designed and analyzed by public opinion researchers at the Kaiser Family Foundation and was conducted July 7 through July 14, 2009, among a nationally representative random sample of 1,205 adults ages 18 and older.
The Washington Post/Kaiser Family Foundation/Harvard University Survey of Detroit Area Residents reveals a population that is facing some of the worst effects of the current economic recession. Home of the nation’s domestic auto industry, Detroit’s residents have been at the forefront of the country’s economic woes.
The February Kaiser Health Tracking Poll finds Americans are divided on possible changes to the current health care system with 36 percent of Americans saying policymakers should build on the existing law to improve affordability and access to care, 16 percent saying they would like to see the health care law repealed and not replaced, 13 percent saying the current law should be repealed and replaced with a Republican-sponsored alternative, and 24 percent saying the U.S. should establish guaranteed universal coverage through a single government plan. When asked specifically about universal coverage through a single government plan, half say they favor the idea while 43 percent say they oppose it, and some opinions swayed after hearing counterarguments. Opinions also differ depending on the terms used to describe the idea of expanding health insurance coverage to all Americans. This month’s poll also examine awareness and attitudes of the top health policy news stories- the unsafe lead levels in Flint Michigan’s water and the Zika virus outbreak.
The Kaiser Family Foundation Survey of Pennsylvania Residents measures Pennsylvanians’ opinions about a selection of health issues, including which issues they believe state policymakers should prioritize, opinions about prescription painkiller abuse, and experiences accessing and paying for health care. The survey was conducted March 7-15, 2016 among a representative sample of 804 adults ages 18 and over living in Pennsylvania.

The Kaiser Family Foundation partnered with NBC News to ask several survey questions of the U.S. public about their feelings towards the 2010 health care law, as well as their worries about affording health care more generally. These questions were asked as part of the September 2013 Kaiser Health Tracking Poll.
As the country struggles to get a handle on the coronavirus pandemic and prepares for the 2020 election, this analysis finds that, while voters are increasingly negative in their evaluations of President Trump’s handling of the pandemic, he continues to garner strong support among Republican voters – even those living in areas disproportionately impacted by the virus.

As winter sets in and COVID-19 cases and deaths reach records in most parts of the country, more Americans say they wear masks every time they leave home now (73%) than said so in May (52%), a new KFF Health Tracking Poll finds.
