Akash Pillai

Policy Analyst, Program on Medicaid and the Uninsured/Racial Equity and Health Policy



Akash Pillai is a policy analyst with KFF’s Program on Medicaid and the Uninsured and Racial Equity and Health Policy. Prior to joining KFF, he worked with the Community Healthcare Association of New York State on health policy projects supporting New York’s Federally Qualified Health Centers. He also conducted population health research at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene.

Pillai holds a bachelor’s degree in biopsychology from Tufts University and a Master of Public Health from the CUNY Graduate School of Public Health and Health Policy.
