State Profiles on Women’s Health


State Profiles of Women's Health, by Jacqueline A. Horton, ScD, published by the Jacobs Institute of Women's Health , with support from the H.J. Kaiser Family Foundation compiles data from a variety of sources on key indicators of women's health status in a standard four page per state format. The indicators–including demographics, morbidity, mortality, risk factors for illness, natality, health care coverage, health insurance coverage for women below 200% of poverty, and use of preventive services–are included in the Executive Summary, with the states that have the lowest and highest numeric value for each, as well as the US average.
