This report shows continued steady progress in vaccine uptake, with 62% of adults saying they’ve gotten at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine, though few who are eager remain unvaccinated. In addition, 41% of parents of children ages 12-17 say their child has already received at least one dose or that they will do so right away. The report also looks at potential motivators for the unvaccinated.
This 2021 analysis goes back into the data we collected in interviews with a random sample of registered voters in three Sun Belt states (Arizona, Florida, and North Carolina) and matches it with actual voter records from Election Day to better understand the demographics of voters who cast ballots in the 2020 election and whether their views and experiences were different than those who chose to not vote.
This report from the KFF COVID-19 Vaccine Monitor examines vaccine attitudes and experiences among Hispanic adults in the U.S., including key groups such as those with lower incomes, the uninsured, and those who are potentially undocumented. It finds that many unvaccinated Hispanic adults are eager to get a COVID-19 vaccine, and barriers to access include information gaps, cost concerns, requests for documentation, and immigration concerns.

This report shows that 42% of all adults have received a COVID-19 booster, including about 70% of those who are likely booster-eligible. As the Affordable Care Act (ACA) marks its fifth anniversary, this month’s poll finds the gap between favorable and unfavorable opinions of the law has narrowed to the closest margin in over two years. Although the Supreme Court heard oral arguments for the King v. Burwell case in early March, the majority of the public continues to say they have heard only a little or nothing at all about the case. The survey also includes a look at Americans’ experiences reporting their insurance status on their taxes for the first time, and finds that nearly half are unaware that the requirement to report health insurance status on their taxes takes effect this year.

As the U.S. Senate continues to debate their plan to repeal and replace the ACA, the latest Kaiser Family Foundation tracking poll finds the public souring on the effort with a growing majority opposed to the plan and a large share that say the plan does not fulfill most of the promises President Trump has made about health care. Even among Republicans, the poll finds that about half would be “less likely” to support the Senate health plan if they heard it would increase premiums for most people who purchase their own insurance on the marketplace. In addition, a majority of the public would rather see Republicans in Congress work with Democrats to make improvements to the ACA but not repeal the law. The tracking poll also gauges the public's views on the proposed major reductions in federal funding for Medicaid as well as how these views are affected by counter-arguments.
