    The April 2019 KFF Health Tracking Poll examines the public’s position on the future of ACA and its protections for people with pre-existing medical conditions, in light of the ongoing legal battle which may end up in the Supreme Court. With lawmakers proposing legislation to address surprise medical bills, this month’s survey also measures the public’s support for federal government action to protect patients from having to pay the cost incurred from an inadvertent out-of-network provider.

The poll assesses the public’s belief in whether human activity is causing climate change and global warming, as well as levels of concern and support for policy solutions. A companion survey of U.S. teens explores how this age group views the issue of climate change and its potential impact on their generation.

  • KFF Health Tracking Poll February 2025: The Public’s Views on Global Health and USAID

    This poll finds most of the public believe the cutbacks at USAID will lead to increases in illness and death in low-income countries. Nearly half say it will reduce the U.S. budget. Most of the public also overestimates the share of the federal budget that is spent on foreign aid, and when informed it is about 1% of the federal budget, the share who want to reduce spending drops.
