Emmarie Huetteman

Emmarie Huetteman, senior editor, oversees a team of Washington reporters, as well as KFF Health News-NPR’s “Bill of the Month” feature and KFF Health News’ weekly podcast, “What the Health?” She previously spent more than a decade reporting on the federal government, most recently covering surprise medical bills, drug pricing reform, and other health policy debates in Washington and on the campaign trail. Emmarie came to KFF Health News from The New York Times, where she covered Congress. She is a graduate of the University of Michigan and holds a master’s from the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University.
