I am 54 and living with a permanent disability, and for the past 12 months I have been receiving Social Security disability insurance (SSDI) payments. But I do not have health insurance. I am required to wait another 12 months before I can go on Medicare due to the two-year waiting period for people receiving SSDI payments. Am I eligible to purchase health insurance coverage from a Marketplace plan under the ACA? Am I eligible for a premium tax credit? And what about Medicaid?

I am age 60 and have been receiving Social Security disability insurance (SSDI) payments for two years. My Medicare coverage just started and I would like to get a Medicare supplement insurance policy. What are my options?

I have end-stage renal disease (ESRD). What are my coverage options under Medicare and how long does my Medicare coverage last?

I’m under 65 and have a long-term disability. I am no longer working and receiving Social Security disability benefits. Am I eligible for Medicare?

While we have made every effort to provide accurate information in these FAQs, people should contact the health insurance Marketplace or Medicaid agency in their state for guidance on their specific circumstances.
