Cost-Sharing Reductions

How much are the cost-sharing reductions?

Published: Oct 15, 2024

It depends on your household income and where you live. To give a general idea, a typical Silver plan might have an annual out-of-pocket maximum on all cost sharing of $10,600 in 2026. But if your income is between 100% and 150% of the federal poverty level ($15,650 to $23,475 annually for a single individual in 2026), the cost-sharing reductions will modify a Silver plan so that the annual out-of-pocket maximum on all cost sharing would be no more than $3,500.

If your income is between 151% and 200% of the federal poverty level (between $23,476 and $31,300 for a household of one in 2026), the cost-sharing reductions will modify the Silver plan so that the annual out-of-pocket limit also would be no more than $3,500.

If your income is between 201% and 250% of the federal poverty level (between $31,301 and $39,125 for a household of one in 2026), the cost-sharing reductions will be more modest. At this income level, your annual out-of-pocket limit would be reduced to no more than $8,450.
