Andrew Jones is a rural health correspondent for western North Carolina. Previously, he worked at the non-profit news outlet Asheville Watchdog and at the region's paper of record, Asheville Citizen-Times, focusing on hospitals and health care as an investigative reporter.
Mary-Ellen Deily, partnerships editor, was previously a health and science editor at The Washington Post. Mary-Ellen edited staff and freelance reporters on personal health care and policy at The Post, and in 2024 edited the Health 202/Health Brief newsletter, which regularly published KFF Health News content.
