New Poll Finds Bipartisan Public Support for Creating State Insurance Exchanges Despite Continuing Party Divisions Over the ACA
A new opinion survey by Kaiser, the Harvard School of Public Health and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation about the public's health policy agenda for the 113th Congress also finds that more Americans back than oppose state Medicaid expansions and that the public wants action on the federal deficit but still resists most cuts and sacrifices, especially to Medicare.
 
Survey Finds States Are Making Important Improvements to Medicaid Eligibility and Enrollment Systems to Prepare for the ACA
A 50-state survey finds that nearly all states are undertaking improvements to develop faster, streamlined Medicaid enrollment systems as required under the Affordable Care Act (ACA) whether or not they intend to expand Medicaid coverage under the law. A related report, Faces of the Medicaid Expansion highlights the experiences of previously uninsured low-income adults who recently obtained Medicaid coverage in states that already expanded coverage to adults in advance of 2014.
