This data note analyzes federal funding changes for Affordable Care Act (ACA) marketplace navigators in 2017 and discusses the implications for both the navigators and consumers. It presents results of a Kaiser Family Foundation online survey of federal marketplace (FFM) navigator programs and includes insights from a roundtable meeting of more than 40 navigators co-hosted by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and Kaiser Family Foundation.

In healthcare.gov states, the open enrollment period begins on Friday, November 1, 2019 and ends on Wednesday, December 18, 2019. This nationwide survey analysis of Marketplace consumer assistance programs and brokers examines the nature of Marketplace assistance during the second open enrollment period for 2015 coverage, and offers unique insights into how Affordable Care Act (ACA) implementation is progressing, what is changing, and what challenges remain.
