Furthering Progress On Childhood Vaccines
In a Huffington Post opinion piece, Gro Brundtland, a member of the U.N. FoundationÂ board of directors, former WHO director general and former prime minister of Norway, discusses global progress on childhood vaccines. Brundtland discusses the upcoming launch of the U.N. Foundation’s global vaccines campaign aimed atÂ inspiring AmericansÂ “to provide children in the developing world with immunizations against deadly diseases.”
“Vaccines are truly one of the best investments we can make to give children a healthy future and avoid the economic and personal tragedy of an early death or a lifelong disability. They are cost-effective and protect the recipient for a lifetime,” she concludes (6/22).
