Are We Holding the Line on Health Coverage for Low-Income Families?


The Kaiser Commission on Medicaid and the Uninsured sponsored a policy briefing releasing a new survey of the states showing that as states struggle with their worst fiscal crisis since World War II, health coverage for low-income families may be at risk. The report finds that state actions in the past several years to simplify enrollment procedures and expand eligibility for coverage may have plateaued with some actions a harbinger of future problems.
