Trend in Seniors’ Use of Medicare Information Sources

Since August 2005, the share of seniors who say they have ever been online has increased from 20% to 33%. In August 2005, just 3% of seniors said they had ever visited Medicare.gov, a share that increased to 9% in April 2006. Similarly, the share of seniors who say they have ever called 1-800-MEDICARE increased from 7% in August 2005 to 12% in April 2006.
