Percent Who Report Knowing Someone with HIV/AIDS

More than four in ten Americans (42%) say they know someone who has HIV or AIDS, or someone who has died from AIDS. About two-thirds of African Americans (63%) say they personally know someone, compared with about four in ten whites (41%) and Latinos (37%).
