Views on HIV Prevention Programs for Youth

The vast majority of the public prefers a comprehensive approach when it comes to HIV prevention programs for youth. Three-quarters (75%) say such programs should use a combined approach, including abstinence, being faithful to one partner, and using condoms. Smaller shares say HIV prevention programs for youth should focus mainly on safer sex, including condoms (13%) or should focus mainly on abstinence (10%).
