Trend in Views of U.S. Spending to Fight HIV/AIDS in Developing Countries

Public opinion data indicate that there is support for increasing federal spending to combat HIV/AIDS in developing countries, and that that support has increased in recent years. In 2006, more than half (56%) of the public said the U.S. is now spending too little to deal with HIV/AIDS in developing countries, up from 31% in 2002.
