On Wednesday, June 10th, the Kaiser Family Foundation will host a briefing, “Putting Women’s Health Disparities on the Map: Examining Racial and Ethnic Disparities at the State Level,” to present the findings of a new study that documents the extent of health disparities at the state level between women of different racial and ethnic groups. The presentation of the findings will be followed by a panel discussion with experts on women's health and health disparities to discuss how policies can be shaped to ultimately eliminate these disparities.
Report co-authors Alina Salganicoff and Cara James, both of the Kaiser Family Foundation, will introduce the report and present the key findings, respectively. The briefing will also include a respondent panel moderated by Kaiser's Jackie Judd, including: Carolyn Clancy, Director, Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality; Peter Koutoujian, State Representative, Massachusetts; Cynthia Lindquist Mala, President, Cankdeska Cikana (Little Hoop) Community College of Fort Totten, N.D. and Beth Beck, Executive Director, Capital Breast Care Center. Marsha Lillie-Blanton, report co-author and Senior Advisor to the Kaiser Family Foundation, will provide closing remarks.
