LIVE Webcast: Today's Topics In Health Disparities
State Initiatives to Reduce Racial and Ethnic Health Disparities
Wednesday, May 14, 2008 at 1 p.m. ET

With increasing attention being paid to racial and ethnic health disparities across the country, many states have embarked on initiatives aimed at reducing those disparities. On Wednesday, May 14, from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. ET, the Kaiser Family Foundation’s live, interactive webcast series, Today's Topics In Health Disparities, will discuss these recent state efforts to address health disparities and the factors that can help or hinder the implementation of these projects.

The webcast on "State Initiatives to Reduce Racial and Ethnic Health Disparities" will take a closer look at current state-based efforts to improve access to care and outcomes for minority populations, including the work of states such as Massachusetts, Georgia and Ohio. The panelists will also touch on how these initiatives fit into a state's larger health reform efforts, and the role of the federal government. Questions for the panel can be submitted before or during the webcast to ask@kaisernetwork.org.

PANELISTS:
