The Kaiser Family Foundation has run a mini-fellowship program since 1994. In its first years it was open only to U.S. journalists interested in reporting on U.S. health policy issues. In 2003, the focus of the program shifted to concentrate on issues relating to HIV/AIDS both in the U.S. and abroad. The newly launched mini-fellowship for global health reporting expands the opportunities for more journalists to cover a broader array of global health issues.
Below is a list of the more than 80 projects undertaken by Kaiser mini-fellows from 1997 through 2005. Where possible, we have linked to the project description the work produced during the mini-fellowship.
