About the CBS Partnership for Children's Health Coverage

In June 2002, the CBS Television Network, Viacom Outdoor Group, and the Henry J. Kaiser Family Foundation launched a yearlong public education partnership for a nationwide effort to inform parents of uninsured children about public health coverage options. A series of television public service announcements (PSAs) and bus posters and bus cards were directed at parents of the approximately five million uninsured children currently eligible for the Medicaid and S-CHIP health coverage programs, but who were not enrolled.

Asking “Is your child one of the 5 million?,” the PSAs directed parents to call a toll-free number for more information about enrolling their child.  In addition, the Viacom Outdoor Group provided bus transit PSAs localized to New York City, Philadelphia, and San Francisco.
